«Closer is better» thanks to Stokke

Feliz viernes!! Hoy quiero contarles sobre el primer evento en el que Teo ha sido el protagonista gracias a Stokke. Ya sé que no suelo hablar mucho de estas cosas pero me hace especial ilusión este post ya que se lo pasó bomba y si son mamis seguro les encantará, y si no los son, nunca está de más saber estas cositas! 😉

Happy Friday!! Today want to tell you about Teo’s first event thanks to Stokke! I know that usually I don’t talk about theses things but he had such a great time that if you are moms for sure you will like this post and if you are not it is always good to know little bit about everything! 😉

Ya hace algún tiempo les hablé sobre esta marca que desde que salí embarazada todas las mamis me la recomendaron y sin duda se ha convertido en mi marca fetiche para Teo. El pasado jueves asistimos a un evento en el que Noemí Suriol, cocreadora y continuadora del método Lenoarmi, nos habló sobre la importancia de fortalecer los vínculos entre padres e hijos gracias al contacto visual y además se realizó un taller musical y de masajes.

A while ago I talked to you about this brand. Since I was pregnant many moms talked to me about it and I have to say that it has become my number one for Teo. Last Thursday we attend to an event with Noemí Suriol, co-creator and development of the Lenoarmi method. She talked to us about importance of strengthen the bonds between parents and children that to the eye contact and also she made a music and massage workshop.

Stokke, bajo su slogan «Closer is better» (juntos es mejor) precisamente fomenta el fortalecimiento de esta conexión entre padres e hijos a través de todos sus productos. Por ejemplo, el cochecito Stokke Xplory, con su asiento regulable permite que el bebé tenga a sus padres dentro de su campo visual durante los paseos y así el bebé se siente más seguro y feliz. Yo tengo el cochecito Scoot, que ya lo vieron aquí, y la verdad también estoy encantada con él, de hecho, si no fuera porque mi ascensor es muy pequeño y sólo nos entraba este modelo, seguro que hubiéramos escogido el Xplory. Otra pieza que me encanta de esta marca, y que está en mi lista de futuras compras para Teo, es la trona Tripp Trapp ya que con esta trona tu bebé está a la altura de la mesa y así puede compartir contigo de una forma muy cómoda, además se va adaptando a las diferentes edades con lo cual es una compra que te durará casi hasta que el enano se vaya a la universidad. 😉

Another product that I love from this brand is the Tripp Trapp high chair in which the baby can be at the table at the same level of their parents and in this way feel part of those moments. The besting of this hight chair is is adjustable to different measures and it can be with you until your kid goes to college! 😉

Otra parte del evento que me encantó fue el taller musical. Noemí nos enseñó a darle unos masajistos acompañados de música y tengo que decirles que a Teo le encantó. Yo ya suelo cantarle mucho, pues sé lo importante que es la música para la salud de los bebés ya que no sólo les ayuda a relacionarse sino también en su coordinación, la comunicación, el habla y el aprendizaje. Y esta vez aprendimos diferentes formas y ritmos de tocarlo y masajearlo con música para que el bebé lo disfrute aún más.

Another part of this event that we enjoyed a lot was he music workshop. Noemí taught us to do some massages according to the sound of the music and Teo loved this. I usually sing a lot of songs to him since I know how important is the music for the coordination. communication, the speech and learning. This time we learned about the different ways and rhythm to do these massages with music in order that the baby can enjoy them even more. 

Finalmente acabamos el taller poniendo a nuestros bebés en el porta bebés «My Carrier» de Stokke que es ergonómico y que además está aprobado por el Instituto Internacional de la Displasia como produco «Hip Healthy», esto es súper importante porque no todos los porta bebés lo son y esto podría perjudicar a tu hijo. Una vez metido Teo en el porta bebés comenzamos a bailar y a cantar al ritmo de diferentes canciones, unas más lentas, otras más rápidas ya que según Noemí esto ayudará a que tu bebé se adapte a los diferentes ritmos que tiene la vida, y si un día tienes prisa y lo haces «correr», lo entenderá y se adaptará más fácilmente. De hecho, Stokke tiene un artículo súper interesante sobre la terapia musical en su web y además tiene una playlist de música para diferentes momentos (actividad, calma, descanso) y que seguro te ayudarán a conectar aún más con tu hijo. Yo ayer utilice la playlist de descanso y Teo cayó rendido! 😉

Finally, we end this workshop putting our babies in the Stokke baby carrier that is ergonomic and most important of all it is approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as a «Hip Healthy» product. This is super important to have into account when you buy this type of products since if they are not ergonomic they can cause damages to your baby. Once Teo was in «My Carrier» we started to dance and sing different songs with different rhythms. Some were showers other more active since as Noemí said, this can help you baby to get use to the different life rhythms and activities, so if one day you are in hurry he will understand it better. In fact, Stokke has a super interesting article in their web about music therapy and also they have a playlist with songs that can help you mark different routines (activity, calm, relax). Last night I used the relax one and Teo went to sleep pretty well.
