Tocando el Cielo!

Feliz viernes!!! Hoy les quiero contar la súper experiencia que tuve la semana pasada en el Melia Sky de Barcelona y su restaurante Dos Cielos.

Happy Friday! Today I want to share with you the great experience I had last week in Melia Sky Barcelona and in Dos Cielos restaurant.

La semana pasada cumplíamos 10 años de casados y siempre pensé que siendo un aniversario tan special nos iríamos a algún lugar paradisiaco, pero no contaba con que estaría embarazadísima y que ya no me dejarían subir a un avión ni para irme a Madrid :/. Al ser una fecha especial obviamente teníamos que celebrarlo y qué mejor que hacerlo escapándonos una noche a dormir en el Melia Sky de Barcelona y cenando en el conocido restaurante con estrella Michelin de los hermanos Torres Dos Cielos.

Last week was our 10 year anniversary and I always thought that an important number like that will deserve a trip to an exotic place. What I did not knew is that I will be super pregnant and that I won’t be able to take a flight not even to Madrid. :/ Being such an special date we had to celebrate and what could be better than do a romantic scape and spend the night in the Melia Sky Barcelona hotel plus a delightful dinner in the famous restaurant Dos Cielos of the Torres brothers with a Michelin star.

Tengo que decirles que fue una experiencia inolvidable. Nada más entrar y al querer hacer el check in me enviaron a la planta 25 a mi propia recepción por tener una habitación en The Level, una zona llena de espacios exclusivos que hacen de tu estancia toda una experiencia. Nuestra habitación fue una Junior Suite de 50m2 ubicada en la planta 22, con unas fantásticas vistas al Skyline de Barcelona, un espacioso salón, un vestíbulo de entrada y baño equipado con bañera independiente y ducha con efecto lluvia relajante. Se podía pedir más?

I have to say that it was an unforgettable experience. Just as I entered the hotel and wanted do to the check in they sent me to the 25th floor where I had like my own reception since my room was part of The Level, an area full of exclusive privileges that make your stay an awesome experience. Our room was a Junior Suite of 50 square meters located in the 22th floor with fantastic views of the Barcelona Skyline, a spacious living room, a foyer and a bathroom equipped with an independent bathtub and relaxing rainshower. Can we asked for more?

Luego de habernos relajado un poco en nuestra habitación y arreglarnos subimos al planta 24 dónde nos esperaba una mesa en el restaurante Dos Cielos. Un restaurante envuelto por las vistas del mar Mediterráneo, las montañas y la ciudad en donde en cada plato, los hermanos Torres quieren transmitir recuerdos y experiencias vividas tanto en su trayectoria personal como profesional, usando los mejores ingredientes y productos más exclusivos así como las técnicas más innovadoras. Nosotros nos decantamos por el menú degustación con maridaje, bueno, mi marido porque yo sólo bebí algunos sorbitos de sus copas para degustar. 😉 Fue una experiencia para los sentidos en dónde verdaderamente disfrutamos todos y cada uno de los platos, de la atención y mimos de su personal y de una ambiente súper agradable. Y para muestra unas fotitos de todas las delicias que pudimos saborear.

After having a nice relaxing time in our room we changed and went to the 24th floor where we had a reservation at Dos Cielos Restaurant. A restaurant surrounded by views of the Mediterrean, the mountains and the city where behind every dish, the Torres Bothers try to transmit memories and experiences from both their professional career and their personal development, by using the best ingredients and the most exclusive products, together with the most innovative techniques. We decided to have the seasonal tasting menu with the wine pairing option, well my husband because I just had some sips at least to taste those delicious wines. 😉 It was a great experience for all our senses. We enjoyed all the dishes, the great attention and pampering of the staff and the beautiful atmosphere. And what can be better than some pictures of all the delish dishes we taste. 

Al día siguiente nos levantamos y seguimos con el festival gastronómico y de vistas en su planta 25 con un súper desayuno.

The next day when we woke up we continued our gastronomic and views feast in the 25th floor during breakfast.

Con la barriga llena y aprovechando que hacia un día espectacular bajamos a relajarnos a su piscina para seguir disfrutando de nuestra aniversario.

With the belly full and since it was a perfect summery day we spent some time in the pool chilling and enjoying of our anniversary. 

Fue una experiencia genial, por el trato, por la exclusividad, su gastronomía y sus vistas inigualables. Disfrutamos al máximo esta experiencia y sin duda fue la mejor manera de celebrar 10 años de matrimonia y la casi llegada del baby.

It was a really great experience, for the treatment, the exclusivity, the gastronomy and the amazing views. We really enjoyed this experience and it was the best way to celebrate our 10th year anniversary and the almost arrival of the baby. 

Finalmente quiero agradecer a todo el staff del Melia Sky y a Anabel de The Loft 8 por haber hecho de nuestro 10ª aniversario un día para recordar!
