Gingham is back!!

Feliz martes!!!! Si algo nos ha quedado súper claro es que TODO vuelve, ya sea con ligeros cambios, en otros colores, texturas o incluso nombres pero al final la moda es un circulo en que todo acaba llegando nuevamente, y los cuadros vichy o gingham, como esta temporada han decidido llamarlos, han vuelto para colarse en nuestros días de verano. Y si tenían duda de si había alguna diferencia entre estos dos nombres pues les cuento que no, son exactamente el mismo tipo de estampado, sólo que en el primer caso, Vichy, es el nombre Francés y en el segundo, Gingham, viene del inglés con cierta descendencia Holandesa. De hecho, justo el verano pasado les hablé sobre ellos y les comenté brevemente de donde venía el nombre de Vichy y cómo la espectacular Brigitte Bardot ya en los años 50 apostaba por un vestido en rosa con este tipo de estampado nada más y nada menos que para su boda (ver post aquí ) . Tengo que confesar que a pesar de que no tengo muchas piezas con este estampado me encanta y me parece ideal para cualquier prenda veraniega, y eso exactamente es lo que han pensado y por lo que han apostado en sus pasarelas diseñadores como Diane von Furstenberg, Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garçons, Bottega Veneta, Altuzarra o Michael Kors. Y sin más, aquí les dejo varios looks para que vuelvan a inspirarse con este estampado tan sencillo pero que a la vez puede llegar a ser de lo más chic.

Happy Tuesday!! If I have something clear is that everything comes back, it might come with a few changes, in other colors, textures or even name but at the end fashion is like a circle and everything at the ends comes back. Vichy or gingham, as they have decided to call this print this year, is making a great come back for summer. If you have any doubt if we were talking about different prints let me tell you that they are exactly the same thing only that in the first case is the French word and in the second the English one with some Dutch roots. In fact, just last summer I posted about this trend and I told you a bit of the history of where did it came and how does Brigitte Bardot bet for this print in the 50’s in pink color and for her wedding (see post here). I have to confess that despite that I do not have many pieces with this print I really love it because it looks perfect in any summer garment and that might be the reason why many designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garçons, Bottega Veneta, Altuzarra or Michael Kors have bet for it.
