080 Barcelona Fashion Feb’15 Part II

Feliz viernes!!! Ya en Nueva York ha empezado la fashion week pero yo hoy les traigo la segunda parte de mi experiencia en esta 080. El viernes pasado (aquí) les hice mi selección de mis colecciones favoritas y les dejé alguna que otra imagen entre desfiles, pero sin duda el último día fue uno de los mejores y el domingo les contaré el porqué! 😉

Happy Friday!! In New York the Fashion week has started but today I’m posting the second part of my 080 experience. Last Friday (here) I started with my selection of favorite collections and also I showed you some “behind scenes” images, but I have to day that without a doubt the last day of this edition was my favorite one and on Sunday I will tell you why! 😉

El miércoles sólo me pude escapar y vivir en directo el desfile de Custo, pero a pesar de no haber estado presente quiero hablarles de algunas de las colecciones que al verlas a posteriori, me ha gustado mucho.

On Wednesday I only was able to attend to Custo Barcelona fashion show but even though I want to show you some other collections that when I saw later I really liked too.

Y empiezo con Pagè y el divertido nombre de su colección “Frog me a Kiss”!! Una colección lista para el street wear en vestidos asimétricos, cortes y trasparencias que se combinan con prendas como sudaderas y camisetas. Looks de lo más originales, sobre todo para esos “street styles” de las Semanas de la moda quedarían genial. El negro, siempre elegante, predominó sobre todo en los vestidos vaporosos y con transparencias. Además algún que otro vestido de pedrería, como el último de mi selección que sin duda ese de lo más sugerente, pero precioso.

And I start with Pagè and the funny name of their collection “Frog me a Kiss”!! A collection ready for the street wear with asymmetric dresses, slits and transparencies that are combined with t-shirts and sweaters. Super original looks, specially for those street style looks for fashion weeks. The black, always elegant, dominated the collection, specially in the vaporous dresses in transparent gauzes. Also they had some jewelry dresses like the last one I have included here, pretty sensual but beautiful.

Y que sería del invierno sin prendas coloridas para quitar ese gris que hay en el ambiente, y precisamente eso fue lo que me encantó de la colección de Naulover. Una pasarela muy parisina, “Mademoiselle Zhivago”, perfecta para una mujer elegante y sofisticada, pero una tanto excéntrica. Estampados divertidos y colores como el naranja, azul, burdeos que se dejaban ver en prendas de líneas geométricas muy definidas que se reinterpretaban mediante el punto.

And what would be of winter if we don’t add color that is why I enjoyed Naulover collection. A Parisian catwalk, “Mademoiselle Zhivago”, perfect for an elegant and sophisticated woman with an eccentric touch. Exotic prints and colors like orange, blue or burgundy were seen in well defined geometric lines, reinterpreted in knitwear.

Yerse, una colección con aires nórdicos en donde las faldas largas de punto y aberturas, los abrigos o jerseys de cuadros y pantalones anchos son las piezas perfectas para una mujer de hoy que busca comodidad pero siempre estando a la vanguardia de la moda. Colores como el rojo tierra, azules malva y verdes jade pondrán el toque de color a esos días más fríos. Me encanta!!

Yerse, a collection with Nordic rationality where long knit skirts, tartan coats or sweaters and wide pants are the perfect garments for a woman that wants to be comfy but yet stylish. Red earth, mauve blues and jade greens will add some color to endlessly cold days. I just love it!!

Una colección que me hubiera encantado ver en directo es la de Menchén Tomàs, con un aire un tanto retro me quedé fascinada con sus prendas de maxi lunares o ese mono floral que me dejó perdidamente enamorada. Looks para una mujer femenina que le gusta poner un toque diferente y resaltar sobre las demás. Fue una pasarela con varias pinceladas de color en prendas verdaderamente preciosas!

A collection that I would have loved to see was the one on Menchén Tomàs. A sort of retro vibe made me fall in love with the maxi dots pieces or the floral jumpsuit. Outfits for a feminine woman that wants a special touch to be differentiated from the rest. It was an amazing collection with hints of colors and beautiful pieces.

Y como no, la mejor manera de finalizar este tercer día de 080 fue asistiendo al desfile de Custo Barcelona que antes de pisar las pasarelas de Nueva York nos concede el privilegio de verla aquí!! La sala estaba a reventar y no cabía ni un alfiler, pero la ocasión lo merecía. Creo que ésta colección nos sorprendió mucho, o al menos a mi, ya que acostumbrados a sus piezas llenas de estampado y colorido, que obviamente no faltaron, esta colección tiene un estampado que será el favorito de la próxima temporada: los cuadros. Aunque también reconozco que un cierto aire 70’s hubo en ciertas piezas de estampados psicodélicos. Pero si tengo que elegir mis favoritas lo tengo claro, los abrigos de cuadros y los vestidos con toques futuristas! Toma ya! 😉

And of course, the best way to end this 3rd day of 080 was attending Custo Barcelona show. It is really great that before being in New York Fashion week Custo presents his collection here!! Thanks for that! It was a total success with a full room!! I think this collection really surprised everybody or at least me for sure. We are used to see a collection full of prints and colors, that obviously this one had but this time it was a bit more sober and with a main star print: tartan. Of course we also saw some psychedelic pieces evoking those 70’s vibes. If I have to choose mi favorite pieces I will say the tartan coats and the sort of futuristic dresses!! Yeahh!! 😉

Como dije al principio del post para mí, el último día de la 080 fue muy especial, desde un par de meses atrás Escorpion me había contactado para que asistiera a su desfile y lo viera desde el front row por lo que tenía claro que no faltaría, además que es una marca a la cual le tengo un especial cariño, el domingo les contaré más… Hoy me centro en su colección porque fue una de mis favoritas. Interludios es una colección que se inspira en una artista que vive en la gran ciudad y que un día se da cuenta que necesita un descanso para encontrarse a si misma. Esto le encamina a tener un “interludio” cerca del mar donde los elementos de la naturaleza y una pequeña casa cálida con sofá la llevan a dibujar su nueva vida. La colección cuenta con tres actos, comienza con prendas perfumadas de sensualidad con matices cálidos y toques rosados, dando paso luego a prendas a cuadros, rayas y ochos y termina con maxi-jerseys y trajes perchados que reflejan una atmósfera llena de calidez y sutilidad. Pero a estas alturas ya saben que tengo debilidad por el estampado leopardo y por las faldas de cuero y en estas colección hay piezas con ambas obsesiones, así que como se imaginarán salí absolutamente fascinada!!

As I said at the beginning of this post for me this last day was the most special. A few month ago I received a mail from Escorpion asking me to join them as a guest in their front row therefore I was so excited and I knew I was going to be there since I have a special feeling for this brand, but on Sunday I will tell you more… Today I want to focus on their collection because it definitively was another of my big favorites. Interludes is a collection inspired in the life of an artist that lives in the city and that one day she decides that she needs a break in order to find herself. This takes her into an “interlude” close to the sea where the elements of nature and a small cozy house with a couch make her draw her new life. This collection has 3 acts, it starts with garments scented with sensuality, warm hints of colors and pink touches, then it passes to tartan and stripes to finish with maxi sweaters and suits that reflect a cozy and subtle atmosphere. At this point you already know how much I love leopard print and leather skirts and this collection has both things so as you can imagine I was absolutely fascinated with it!

Para poner el colofón final a esta edición, que mejor que hacerlo con el desfile de Justicia Ruano, para mi la feminidad y sexualidad en su máxima potencia. Ya en la edición verano fue una de mis colecciones favoritas y esta no se ha quedado atrás. Su colección Ethno-Glam con tejidos naturales como el algodón, seda y lana combinados con otros más innovadores como los cueros tratados o el neopreno llenaron la pasarela de prendas sugerentes y de lo más lady like. Yo me quedé perdidamente enamorada del mono negro con encaje y del abrigo de pelos gris!! Pasión total, y es que sin duda Justicia Ruano cada temporada me sorprende gratamente!!

For the “grand finale” of this edition I attended Justicia Ruano show. For me she is femininity and sensuality at maximum power. In the summer edition she was one of my favorite collections and in this one I can say the same. Her Ethno-Glam collection with natural fiber like cotton, wool and silk combined with innovative ones like treated leather or neoprene filled the catwalk with suggestive and lady like pieces. I felt totally in love with the black jumpsuit with lace and the faux fur grey coat!! Total passion for her, but each edition she amazes me for good!!  

Y entre desfile y desfile obviamente pasaron cosas por lo tanto hoy nuevamente les dejo algunas imágenes de las aventurillas tras bastidores…

And between fashion shows I also did some other things so I leave you more “behind scenes” images…

Y con esto y un bizcocho termino mi recorrido por esta fantástica edición de la 080. Pero ya estoy contando los días para que llegue la edición de verano y volver a vivir muchos momentos emocionantes y divertidos!!

And with this I finish my review of this great edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion. But I’m already looking forward for the summer edition and experience such a great and exciting moments!!
