Look of the Week: Memories of Dublin

Feliz domingo!! Feliz año!!! Cómo va este principio de año? Espero que muy bien!! Yo ya de vuelta de las vacaciones y con ganas de ver que me depara este 2015! Como saben, he pasado algunos días en Dublín y para empezar el año me apetecía compartir algunas de las cosas que vi, por eso mi look de hoy es de lo más cómodo y básico, perfecto para turistear. Por suerte no nos hizo mucho frío, a pesar de que había ido súper preparada e incluso el día antes de salir encontré un abrigo monísimo azul impermeable y con pelos por dentro que encima estaba de descuento en Zara, así que sin pensarlo me lo compré y fue mi aliado perfecto contra el frío.

Happy Sunday!! Happy New Year!!! How is this new year going? Hope that so far so good!! I’m back from my holidays and looking forward to see what this 2015 has for me!! As you know, I have spent some days in Dublin and for this first post of the year I wanted to share with you some images of my trip therefore today’s look is rather comfy and simple, perfect to make some tourism. Luckily it was not that cold, even that we were super prepare for the «worst», even one day before leaving I found a cute waterproof coat in blue with cozy hair inside and the best part was that is was already in sales at Zara so as I saw it I knew it will become my best friend during those days.

Para el primer día de paseo por la ciudad elegí un look en negro y con accesorios café, estrenando uno de mis regalos de Navidad, un bolso bandolera de Michael Kors que va perfecto con mi botas Callaghan. Dublín es una ciudad muy fácil de conocer, su centro es relativamente pequeño así que la primera parada de mi «sesión de fotos» fue el Trinity College en cuya biblioteca está el libro de Kells y también su famoso «Long Room» que sirvió de inspiración del archivo Jedi en la película de Star Wars Episodio II. Luego fuimos al castillo de Dublín, que fue la sede del gobierno Británico en Irlanda, pero al haber sido incendiado y reconstruido actualmente no queda más que una torre e iglesia del castillo original, el resto es una reconstrucción más bien simple y poco característica de un castillo. También al recorrer sus calles nos encontramos con sus edificios de arquitectura georgiana y sus pintorescas puertas de colores que obviamente no me pude resistir y me tuve que hacer una foto!! 😉 Como imaginarán he optado por una selección de fotos con el look que llevaba porque imposible poner todo, pero si van por ahí no dejen de visitar la Iglesia de Cristo, la Catedral de San Patricio, la famosa Calle Grafton llena de tiendas y por supuesto la fábrica Guinness y la vieja destilería de whisky Jameson. Y ahora si, un poco de look con turismo… espero que les guste!

For the first day I chose a black look with brown accessories, wearing one of my Christmas gifts, a crossbody Michael Kors bag that matches perfectly with my Callaghan boots. I have to say that Dublin is a super easy city to walk around, it is not to big so the first stop for my «shooting» was the Trinity College. Here you have the book of Kells and the famous «Long Room» that was the inspiration of the Jedi archive in Star Wars episode II movie. After that we visited the Dublin Castle, this castle was the seat of British rule in Ireland but since it was burned it only remains one tower and the church from the original castle, the rest of the castle that was reconstructed has lost some charm and seems more like a typical Spanish square. While we were walking around the streets we saw the buildings with georgian architecture and their picturesque colored doors, which is also pretty characteristic of the city and as you can imagine I could not resist and I had to make some pics. 😉 There are many more things to see but it is impossible to put everything here so I had to make a selection between places and the look but if you ever go to Dublin you can not miss the Christ Church, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Grafton Street with all the stores and of course the Guinness Storehouse and Old Jameson Distillery.
