Look of the Week: Carcassonne day!

Hola!! Feliz día de la madre a las mamis españolas, porque para la mía es el próximo finde!! 😉 Hoy les traigo otro look cómodo y perfecto para turistear. Si la semana pasada les mostré imágenes del look que llevé en Collioure, esta semana les traigo fotos de mi visita a Carcasona, sin duda un lugar precioso y el pueblo medieval mejor conservado. Tengo que decir que cuando fuimos por la mañana el sitio estaba a reventar, y me sentí más en una atracción turística que en un pueblito francés, así que nos fuimos a comer y ver otros castillos y por la tarde que volvimos ya pudimos disfrutar más paseando por sus calles medievales, sus tiendas de comida, vinos y souvenirs y recorrimos su muralla por fuera. Como verán otro look sencillo, con jean, camisa denim y una sudadera por si hacía más fresco, slippers y Mochila Moschino que es otro de mis bolsos viajeros por su comodidad! A ver qué les parece…

Hello!! Happy mother’s day for the spanish moms! 😉 Today’s look is another comfy one since it is the one I wore to visit Carcassonne. If you haven’t been there you should go. It is a beautiful medieval town that is almost conserved as in a tale. I have to say that when we went in the morning it was kind of chaotic, full of people and I felt like I was in a tourist atraction, so we went to eat and see other castles ruins and by the evening when we returned it was another story. We walk through its medieval streets full of shops and also by the surroundings of the walls. As you will see, my look is pretty basic with a jean blouse, a leopard sweatshirt in grey and black, a jean, a pair of loafers and my Moschino bag that is another of my favorite bags for travel! Para mi, parte fundamental de un viaje es disfrutar de la gastronomía y como me encanta comer, siempre buscamos algún sitio en el que podamos pegarnos alguna buena comida, y sin duda estando en Francia, cuya cocina es reconocida a nivel internacional, no podía ser menos, así que también les dejo algunas fotos de lo que comimos y los sitios en donde fuimos.

For me an important part of any trip is the food. I love to eat therefore we always look for places where we can have a good meal and being in France that wasn’t hard, since they are recognized for their «cuisine», so I leave you some pictures of what we ate and the places we went.

La primera noche comimos en nuestro hotel ya que llegamos un poco tarde, Aubergue Côte Jardin, un hotelito pequeño de lo más mono a unos 30 minutos de Carcasona, y donde ya su restaurante venía bastante bien recomendado, la verdad que las fotos no hacen justicia a la comida pero todo estuvo deli y el trato fue estupendo.

The first night and since we arrived a little late we ate in our hotel, Aubergue Côte Jardin, a small charming hotel that was located in less than 30 minutes from Carcassonne and since it restaurant was also well recommended we decided to try it and it didn’t disappoint us. Everything was delicious even that the pictures don’t do justice, and they treat us great.

El sábado en Carcasona aprovechamos para ir a Le Parc Franck Putelat, pedimos un menú degustación que nos dejó más que satisfechos y la verdad que la presentación de algunos de sus platos eran espectaculares…

On saturday we went to Le Parc Franck Putelat outside the walls of Carcassonne, we had a tasting menu that was amazing in taste and presentation….

Comprenderán que después de este festival de platos por la noche seguíamos full, pero al salir de las murallas vimos un bar pequeño lleno de vinos en donde todos los productos eran con trufas, y como soy una enamorada de las trufas no nos pudimos resistir y comimos un foie y un brie trufados que todavía al recordarlo se me hace agita la boca!

As you might understand, after the lunch feast we had we didn’t had much hunger at night but we saw a super cute bar full of wines and specialized in truffle plates, and since I’m a truffle lover we could not resisted and we ate some foie and brie cheese with truffles. My mouth waters every time I remember them!

Finalmente y como Xavi quería comer la famosa Cassoulet, fuimos a un restaurante dentro de Carcasona llamado Comte Roger, sin duda fue una gran elección pues a pesar de que en todos lados ofrecen Cassoulet estoy segura que como la que probamos habrán muy pocas, y todo lo demás también estuvo delicioso.

Finally, and since Xavi wanted to eat the traditional Cassoulet, we went to a restaurant inside the walls called Comte Roger, definitively we did the right choice because even that all around the city they offer Cassoulet I’m sure that not many of them where as good as the one we had, and not only it because the rest of the plates were amazing too.
