Hola!!! Feliz semana Santa!! Sin duda esta semana es un poco atípica ya que mucha gente está de vacaciones así que hoy, y para estar acorde con los festivos, les traigo una pieza de lo más retro pero súper cómoda. Si la semana pasada les hablaba de las chaquetas jeans y me recordaba de una Levis que tenía, hoy les traigo otra pieza muy noventera que al parecer esta temporada ha vuelto a pegar con fuerza: el peto, mono, overall o como quieran llamarlo. Al igual que con mi súper chaqueta jean, el overall fue para mi una pieza clave durante mi vida universitaria, recuerdo que tenía un Guess que me encantaba y que lamentablemente se me perdió en una maleta que nunca me regresó de Paris (el overall y toda la maleta con ropa para tres meses), y como amaba tanto esta pieza inmediatemente me compré uno estilo boyfriend de Calvin Klein, que a pesar de los años y de las muchas tentativas a regalarlo o tirarlo ahí sigue en mi armario y de tanto en tanto me lo pongo. No me enrollo más con mi melancolía delatadora de edad (jajaja), pero  creo que todas tenemos claro lo cómoda que puede ser esta pieza, sobre todo estos días que viajas, tanto en coche o avión y te apetece ir con prendas sueltas y sencillas. El peto u overall, sin duda es de esas piezas que pase el tiempo que pase siempre vuelve a aparecer, sobre todo en estos tiempos en que las prendas cómodas pero con estilo reinan.

Hello ! Happy Holy week!!! No doubt that this is a strange week with many people already on holidays therefore today’s inspirational garment goes perfectly with this mood. If last week I posted about denim jackets and I was kind of remembering with nostalgia my Levis jacket, today’s garment is also pretty 90’s… the overall or dungaree. Just as my denim jacket, overalls were another key piece during my college years. I remember that I had a Guess one that I just loved and I lost it in a bag that never returned from a trip from Paris (the overall and my entire bag with clothes for 3 months!!), but since for that time I had such an obsession with overalls I bought right away a Calvin Klein in a boyfriend version that despite the years and many attempts to give it away it stills in my closet and every once in a while I wear it. I won’t get historical here because it makes me sound really old (hahaha) but I think that we all know how comfy a dungaree can be, specially when you have to travel in plane or car and just want to wear loose and simple clothes. The overall or dungaree is actually one of those pieces that despite time it always returns, mainly in these times where comfy but classy pieces are a must.

Y empezamos con algunos looks inspiradores y seguramente los de más tendencia puesto que esta temporadas las rayas marineras son otro «must» y personalmente me encanta como se ve el peto con camisetas de este estilo…

And we start with some inspirational looks and probably a pretty trendy one since this season stripes are a «must». Personally I really love how overalls looks with striped shirts….

A pesar de ser una prenda de lo más informal, en el momento que lo acompañas con tacones luce de lo más chic y femenino, no les parece?  Y si encima lo llevas con camisa será un plus!

Even that we associate dungarees with informal looks, if you wear them with high heels they look really chic and feminine, don’t you think? And if besides heels you wear them with a blouse it will be better than better!

Termino con otro look de Carla, y es que esta chica me encanta, sólo ella puede ponerse un overall con trench y sandalias con calcetines y lucir así de ideal!!
