IOTW: Keep calm and be Wood!

Ya es viernes, y aunque al parecer vuelven las lluvias y el mal tiempo yo ya estoy pensando en el verano, y por eso hoy les quiero hablar de una marca de gafas que conocí la semana pasada en la fiesta de Lost in Vogue (gran fiesta por cierto) y que me parecen ideales para el veranito o todo el año! La marca se llama Ribot Barcelona y lo curioso y diferente de estas gafas es que son hechas de madera. Seguramente al oir esto lo primero que pensaran es que son pesadas o incómodas, pues nada de eso y más bien todo lo contrrario, son súper cómodas, no pesan nada y es como si se amoldaran a tu cara. Además, cada diseño tiene el nombre de un barrio de Barcelona y yo no sé si fue porque viví muchos años en el Borne y tengo muy buenos recuerdo de esa época, pero me quedé prendada del modelo que llevaba el nombre de mi antiguo barrio, así que espero pronto hacerme con unas!!  Y por cierto, Ribot viene del nombre en catalán de la herramienta de carpintero que sirve para rebajar, pulir, alisar y moldear piezas de madera y Barcelona porque obviamente los creadores de la marca son de esta ciudad que es la que les inspira constantemente,  así que como ven… todo está mínimamente pensado! It’s Friday and even that it seems that rain and bad weather will be back I’m already thinking about summer, and that is why today I’ll show you some models of the brand of sunglasses Ribot Barcelona that are perfect for summer or any day of the year! Something that make them different and special is that they are made of wood, and even that you might think that they must be heavy or not so comfortable I can tell you that you are totally wrong, they are so light and comfortable that they seem to adapt perfectly to your face. Another curiosity of this brand is that each pair of sunglasses have the name of different districts of Barcelona and I don’t know if it is because I lived so many years in the Borne area and have so many great memories that I automatically felt in love with the sunglasses that have the name of my old district, so I hope I can have them pretty soon!! By the way, if you are wondering about the name, Ribot comes from the catalan name of the tool that is used to polish and smooth the wood pieces and Barcelona because their creators are from this city that constantly is inspiring them!
